Bitter Broomey croft

Managed to grab a quick hour at Kingsbury water park after work, and there was a bit more open water with a few more birds.
A quick walk around told me that most of the birds were gathered on Broomey Croft with 2 Wigeon and 5 Pochard present and an almost summer plumage Black Headed Gull.

After an hour in the cold I decided to head for home, noticing a flock of 40+Fieldfare in the left hand fields heading towards Bodymoor Heath.

Ice, fog & work

All of the 3 in the title have been playing hell with my attempts at bird photography.
Work has had me stopping till mid afternoon, I start at 04:30AM!,and then ice moving the birds to unusual places and fog making them harder to see.

Managed to get a nice pic of an adult Lesser Black Backed Gull (Graellsii, I think).

Test post

Hi,

This is just a quick post to try and get my head around this blogging before I go "live" in the new year.

The aim will be to try to photograph all types of birds, (I.e common, escapes, rarities, nice looking!), with only my trusty Samsung NV100 and digiscope kit.
Photo is of the Juvenile Great Northern Diver that was at Sustoke Resevoir 19th-21st November. An Adult in near summer plumage was also present, But spent more time underwater than above!
